This video is useful for both tourists/travelers visiting Riyadh, Medina, Dammam, or Saudi Arabia in general. Additionally, those going on a pilgrim for Umrah or Hajj will find this information useful too. Finally, those already living in Saudi Arabia and are in need of a (new) Saudi SIM card will find this video informational too.

There are 3 telecom operators: STC (with Jawwy), Mobily, and Zain Saudi Arabia. There are also 3 Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), which are: Friendi Mobile KSA, Virgin Mobile KSA, and Lebara KSA.

What do you need to know about mobile data in Saudi Arabia? Speeds are generally fast with all the operators. If staying in the cities and on highways, your coverage should be fine. Unless you go with STC, the largest operator in Saudi Arabia, expect coverage, connectivity, and speed issues when in rural Saudi Arabia. Data packages range between 1.5 SAR (0.40 USD) to 450 SAR (119.75 USD).
