Coverage – redONE Malaysia
redONE is a Celcom Malaysia MVNO, meaning redONE uses the Celcom Malaysia network.
To find out what to expect in terms of coverage with redONE, jump to the Celcom Malaysia Coverage section in my Malaysia SIM card buying guide.
Note that you will not have 5G NR access with redONE.
SIM Card Price – redONE Malaysia
You can get a redONE SIM card, called BeyondLite, for 10 MYR or 180 MYR from redONE dealers.
The following two redONE SIM cards are available:
| Price | SIM Card | Price | Credit | On-Net Minutes | Validity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 MYR | BeyondLite | 10 MYR | 5 MYR (30 days) for 6 months (30 MYR) | Unlimited | 30 days |
| 180 MYR | BeyondLite Bonanza | 180 MYR | 40 MYR (30 days) for 6 months (240 MYR) | Unlimited | 180 days |

Be careful: redONE also sells a Travel Data SIM card – it can be used in seven East– and Southeast Asian countries (China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Singapore, Taiwan & Thailand) but not in Malaysia itself.

So if the redONE SIM card costs 50 MYR or 100 MYR instead of 10 MYR or 180 MYR, you have the wrong SIM card 🤯.
- Find out how much SIM cards cost in every country, including data-only SIM cards and tourist SIM cards, offered by each mobile operator + information about starter benefits (lookup tool)

redONE has no eSIMs.
Note that the Malaysian mobile operators require your identification (passport) for (future) eSIMs and for physical SIM cards.
You may want to get a travel eSIM for Malaysia, which can be cheaper than getting a SIM card from redONE Malaysia (in some cases).
Especially when getting an eSIM covering popular Asian destinations if you do not stay in just Malaysia or a global eSIM valid for up to a year if you want one eSIM to work practically worldwide.
My Malaysia eSIM buying guide analyzes various eSIM options of eSIM providers I have tested extensively worldwide.
Here is a quick introduction to them:
- Airalo: Sambungkan (Malaysia only), Asialink & Discover+ (130 countries worldwide + call and text feature) – use code NEWTOAIRALO15 (15% off – first-time users only) or AIRALOESIM10 (10% off)
- Alosim: Malaysia – use code PTW (5% off – no limits)
- Holafly: Malaysia – these eSIMs have unlimited data – use code PHONETRAVELWIZ (5% off – no limits)
- Nomad: Malaysia, APAC (up to 20 countries), SEA-Oceania & Global (up to 139 countries) – use code ADU123 (3 USD off – first-time users only)
For more information, such as the prices and data allowances, check out my Malaysia eSIM buying guide.

Note that redONE offers VoLTE (Voice over LTE (4G)) if your phone supports it and you have enabled it in the settings.
Oh, you can also use VoWiFi (Voice over WiFi).
