OpenCall Czech Republic, just OpenCall, is an O2 Czech Republic MVNO.
It became an MVNO with the help of DH Telecom, which is a Mobile Virtual Network Aggregator (MVNA).
What an MVNA is is not essential (for now).
However, what is important is that OpenCall is popular with the expat community due to its low international call rates.
It also provides support in Bulgarian, Czech (obviously), English, Russian, Ukrainian & Vietnamese.

Coverage – OpenCall Czech Republic
OpenCall is an O2 Czech Republic MVNO, meaning OpenCall uses the O2 Czech Republic network and does not have its own mobile infrastructure.
To find out what to expect in terms of coverage with OpenCall, jump to the O2 Czech Republic Coverage section in my Czech Republic SIM card buying guide.
SIM Card Price – OpenCall Czech Republic
You can buy an OpenCall SIM card for 200 CZK with 200 CZK credit and 2 GB of data for 30 days in – stores and from resellers, including grocery stores, kiosks & gas stations. OpenCall SIM cards are not sold at Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG).

- Find out how much SIM cards cost in every country, including data-only SIM cards and tourist SIM cards, offered by each mobile operator + information about starter benefits (lookup tool)

It is also possible to get an OpenCall eSIM for the same price as a regular SIM card.
You may want to get a travel eSIM for the Czech Republic, which can be cheaper than getting a SIM card from OpenCall (in some cases).
Especially when getting a Europe-wide eSIM if you do not stay in just the Czech Republic or a global eSIM valid for up to a year if you want one eSIM to work practically worldwide.
My Czech Republic eSIM buying guide analyzes various eSIM options of eSIM providers I have tested extensively worldwide.
Here is a quick introduction to them:
- Airalo: O2 (Czech Republic only), Eurolink (39 countries in Europe) & Discover+ (130 countries worldwide + call and text feature) – use code NEWTOAIRALO15 (15% off – first-time users only) or AIRALOESIM10 (10% off)
- Alosim: Czech Republic & Europe (32 countries) – use code PTW (5% off – no limits)
- Holafly: Czech Republic & Europe (32 countries) – these eSIMs have unlimited data + calling feature – use code PHONETRAVELWIZ (5% off – no limits)
